1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging The Service Squad (ABN: XX XXX XXX XXX) ("we", "us", or
"our") for renovation services, you ("client", "you", or "your") agree
to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these
terms, please do not engage our services.
2. Services
We provide the following renovation services exclusively within
Australia:
- Kitchen renovations
- Bathroom renovations

Associated consultation, design, project management, and
construction services
Our service areas include the Gold Coast and Brisbane (QLD) regions.
3. Quotes and Pricing

Initial quotes are provided based on preliminary discussions and may
be subject to change upon detailed site assessment.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise
stated.

Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where
applicable.

Final pricing may vary based on actual site conditions, material
selections, and scope changes.
4. Deposits and Payment

A deposit of 10-30% of the quoted price is required to secure your
project start date.

Progress payments are typically required at agreed project
milestones.

Final payment is due upon practical completion and before handover.

We accept payment via bank transfer. Payment details will be
provided on invoices.

Overdue payments may incur interest at a rate of 10% per annum.
5. Project Timeline

Project start and completion dates are estimates and may be affected
by weather, material availability, and other factors beyond our
control.

We will keep you informed of any significant timeline changes.

Delays caused by you (e.g., delayed decisions, access issues) may
result in extended timelines and additional costs.
6. Scope Changes
Any changes to the agreed scope of works must be documented in
writing. Additional work will be quoted separately and require your
written approval before proceeding. Changes may affect timeline and
pricing.
7. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing timely decisions and approvals
- Ensuring access to the property at agreed times
- Clearing the work area of personal belongings

Securing permits and approvals as required (we can assist with this
process)
- Ensuring adequate insurance coverage for contents
8. Warranties and Defects

We warrant our workmanship against defects for a period of 6 years,
in accordance with Queensland and NSW home building warranties.

Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied materials and products.

Defects must be reported in writing within 7 days of discovery.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or
unauthorised modifications.
9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted services.

We maintain public liability insurance and workers compensation as
required by law.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental
damages.

We are not liable for delays or costs arising from circumstances
beyond our reasonable control.
10. Intellectual Property
Design concepts, drawings, and plans prepared by us remain our
intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may not
reproduce these materials without our consent.
11. Termination

Either party may terminate a contract with 14 days written notice.

Upon termination, you will pay for all work completed up to the
termination date.

Deposits are non-refundable for work already commenced or materials
already procured.
12. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we commit to working in good faith to resolve it.
If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to QBCC
(Queensland Building and Construction Commission) or NSW Fair Trading
as appropriate.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland,
Australia. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the appropriate
courts of Queensland or NSW depending on your location.
